Lippert Components Inc., a leading supplier to the RV industry, has added four towing products from Curt Manufacturing to its Gold Circle Dealer Program. The products include the Echo mobile brake controller, BetterWeigh mobile towing scale, Rebellion XD cushion hitch and RockerBall cushion trailer ball.
Launched in 2016, LCI’s Gold Circle Dealer Program has grown to include more than 30 different product profit programs. The program provides dealers with comprehensive merchandising, sales and marketing support. In December 2019, Curt was acquired by LCI, and the two companies are moving quickly to expand the Gold Circle Dealer Program to include the line of Curt towing products.
The Curt Echo mobile brake controller #51180 was designed to solve the problem of difficult, invasive, permanent brake controller installations. It plugs into a vehicle’s 7-way RV blade connection—no extra wiring needed—and uses a downloadable app and Bluetooth to sync with the consumer’s Apple or Android phone. Echo can be transferred from one vehicle to another.

The Curt BetterWeigh mobile towing scale #51701, winner of the SEMA 2019 Best New Product Award, will also be added to the Gold Circle Dealer Program. It is the first towing scale of its kind, replacing traditional products and methods with a faster, less-expensive solution using a driver’s smartphone. The product eliminates the need for trips to the vehicle scale, paper and pencil calculations and the inconvenience of exiting the vehicle to check a physical gauge.
BetterWeigh plugs into the OBD-II port under the vehicle dash, syncs with an Apple or Android phone using Bluetooth and provides measurements of the vehicle and trailer weights, tongue weight, vertical load and payload. The scale also works with weight distribution hitches and trailer brake controllers. The BetterWeigh mobile towing scale is now shipping.
Also joining the Gold Circle Dealer Program are the Rebellion XD adjustable cushion hitch ball mount #45949 and RockerBall cushion hitch trailer ball #40047. Both new products are from the Curt ShockDrop series—a line of products that improve ride comfort, enhance driver control and promote towing confidence. They are engineered to be simpler, more reliable cushion hitch solutions compared to existing options. Instead of using airbags or bearings, Rebellion XD and RockerBall have an integrated, dynamic isolator that is virtually maintenance-free and is tested for thousands of cycles to ensure longevity.
All four Curt products will be on display at booth 5000 during the upcoming Expo presented by NTP-STAG in Grapevine, Texas, on Jan. 13-14.
