Lippert Components, Inc. has debuted a Bluetooth RV door lock, adding to Lippert’s RV safety products collection.
“The keyless RV door lock with Bluetooth is a great new option for RV owners seeking safety for their family and their belongings,” said Mark Boessler, Lippert’s aftermarket sales SVP. “With multiple entry options, this great new product is a perfect upgrade for any travel trailer or fifth wheel owner.”
According to Lippert, consumers can unlock their RVs’ entry doors via Bluetooth using their smartphones. The lock uses proximity sensors to register a consumer’s location and will provide remote locking and unlocking access through the OneControl app. The lock has a 60-foot range for codeless unlocking.
The lock provides audible feedback for successful locking and unlocking functions. If a smart device and batteries fail, the lock is equipped with two methods for entry: a keypad, which illuminates at night for full-button visibility and standard keys, the suppler said. Consumers can use the OneControl app to set different battery modes for the Bluetooth RV door lock. Normal mode is for basic operation. Storage mode can be enabled when an RV is in storage and the app is not needed to control the lock.
The app also tracks the lock’s battery life. Consumers can enable low power mode to reduce battery consumption by 30% and extend battery life.
The lock can be installed without wiring. It can be retrofitted to most RV entry doors with standard latches and 1-3/8-inch to 1-1/2-inch thick doors.
