Lippert employees from the Midwest united in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, for the supplier’s first Built to Serve event of the year on June 5.
The Built to Serve program launched in October 2023 to unite Lippert leaders with employees from different locations. The initiative fosters connection across Lippert’s workforce.
Lippert extended its community outreach beyond Elkhart County, Indiana, with Acres of Joy. The nonprofit pairs horses with individuals to provide equine-assisted learning, mentoring and outdoor activities. The organization focuses on youth in need.
More than 100 Lippert employees worked on various projects on the 29-acre property. Volunteers painted structures, groomed the landscape, built walls/fences and cleaned areas.
Acres of Joy CEO Jeff Jackson told Lippert’s volunteers to reflect on their attitude. Jackson compared attitudes to “the hinges of a door, allowing opportunities to open and close.”
Lippert Vice President of Human Resources Operations Jaycee Riewe said he had a positive experience at the event.
“We get to serve others well,” he said, “and lead by example within the communities where we live, work and play.”
