Long-Time RVer Association Makes Major Change

Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) has supported its RV members for more than half a century. The association, founded in 1963, will change its name to further support owners of various RV types.

The organization will be renamed the Family RV Association.

The FMCA Governing Board decided to change the name at its annual meeting Aug. 14. The association will develop a new logo along with the new name.

FMCA National President Gary Milner said, “For 60-plus years, FMCA—now Family RV Association—has been helping RVers to form incredible connections with fellow RV travelers. We want to make sure all RVers are aware of the wonderful opportunities and benefits membership brings. Adopting a name that better describes our community makes perfect sense.”

The name shift retains the word “Family.” The association said the word extends to the group’s RV owner community. The new name includes the word “RV” to clarify the organization’s RV travel and lifestyle community focus.
