J.D. Power’s RV Market Insights third-quarter report recorded a downward trend. The company said the shift followed a typical seasonal pattern.
According to J.D. Power, RV inventories and consumer demand are following negative trends. The company said RV market conditions were manageable, and the quarter’s declines were on pace with totals from the third quarter of 2023.
Travel trailer values averaged 5.8% lower in September-October compared with July-August. The category was 3.6% lower year-over-year.
Fifth wheel values averaged 4.8% lower in September-October compared with July-August. The segment was 0.2% higher year-over-year.
In the motorhome category, Type A vehicle values averaged 3.3% lower in September-October compared with July-August. The motorhomes were 1.7% higher year-over-year.
Type C motorhome values averaged 4.4% lower in September-October compared with July-August. The division was 2.8% lower year-over-year.
Camping trailer values were 7.9% lower in September-October compared with July-August. The segment’s sales were 10.9% lower year-over-year.
Truck camper values averaged 4% lower in September-October compared with July-August. The values were 5.8% lower year-over-year.
