Scott Geesey, general manager of Liberty RV of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, last week presented Jennifer Schiavone-Blake with the keys to a new 2024 Cortes 16 travel trailer.
Schiavone-Blake won the RV in a random drawing held at the close of America’s Largest RV Show in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Schiavone-Blake, a paramedic from Havre de Grace, Maryland, said she was shocked to learn she won.
“I started shouting and I told him I could not believe it,” she said. “Something told me to put my name in the hat, and I thought it was a really cool little camper with its double hull walls and four-season capability, so it just struck me as an idea to put my name in the hat.”
The giveaway was the largest in the Hershey show’s history. The RV, valued at more than $45,000, was sponsored by Cortes Campers and Liberty RV of Gettysburg.
Geesey said: “It was a good experience for both us and Cortes to get a full fiberglass unit on the market that a lot of people do not know about. It is well constructed. It will never rot. It will never mold. There is no wood in the camper to go bad. The camper actually has drain holes to drain any water out.”
Cortes Campers participated in the Hershey show for the first time.
Anthony Corpora, Cortes Campers CEO, said: “Cortes Campers was thrilled to donate the 2024 Cortes 16 as the giveaway at the 2023 Hershey RV Show. We welcome Jennifer Schiavone-Blake to the Cortes Campers owners’ family and wish her many happy travels with her new Cortes 16. Cortes Campers was delighted to participate with Liberty RV of Gettysburg to showcase these unique fiberglass RV travel trailers to the consumer audience. Cortes Campers made a big impression on attendees and may have changed a few buyers’ minds in the process.”
Schiavone-Blake said she and her husband, John, plan to use their RV in the woods and the mountains off-grid.
“We prefer to be in the woods or the mountains and hiking,” she said. “He is an avid birder and I love animals in general.”
