On Saturday, the RV industry nationwide celebrated National Go RVing Day. The third annual promotional day culminated with various RV-focused news segments and social media campaigns touting RVing’s benefits.
The program was initiated to provide opportunities to promote RVing while uniting RV consumers and industry members.
RVIA Director of Public Relations and Communications Monika Geraci said, “It is really impressive how the industry has made National Go RVing Day their own. It is thanks to all of the member companies who shared National Go RVing Day with their audiences.”
More than 4 million people across the nation viewed RV coverage on national and local news segments. A Tampa Bay, Florida, local TV segment was syndicated to 155 Nexstar TV stations nationwide and viewed by an estimated 3.6 million individuals.
In addition, Mike Caudill, an automotive reporter and RVIA spokesperson, discussed RVing on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” show.
On social media, #NationalGoRVingDay was used more than 2,100 times on Facebook and 1,300 times on Instagram.
Geraci said the association anticipates continued growth for next year’s Go RVing Day.
