Keepers RV Center was named to the Greater Mankato Business Hall of Fame earlier this month.
The Minnesota-based dealership was recognized by the Greater Mankato Growth Inc. group at the annual Business Awards and Hall of Fame reception Nov. 14.
The group inducts at least one private sector business into the Hall of Fame each year for the business’ contributions to the Mankato, Minnesota, community.
“Contributions include improving the quality of life in Greater Mankato through the creation of quality jobs and developing opportunities for their employees,” the group said, “demonstration of personal and business ethical qualities, including dedication to family, community, the environment, and private enterprise, as well as demonstration of qualities of entrepreneurship by assuming the risk of organizing, developing, and managing a successful private business enterprise in Greater Mankato.”
Keepers RV Center was founded over 60 years ago when Don and Liz Keepers sold RVs out of their driveway. The small family-owned business “maintained a stellar reputation with their customers,” Greater Mankato Growth said, “who keep returning to upgraded or downsize their campers.”
