National Park Week kicks off April 20 with free entrance to national parks. Various festivities will continue through April 28.
National Park Service (NPS) Director Chuck Sams said, “During National Park Week, and throughout the year, I encourage people to discover and enjoy the natural, cultural, historical and recreational opportunities available in national parks and through National Park Service community programs.”
NPS provides trip planning guides, safety tips and detailed park information on their website and app.
