New Go RVing Radio Ads, TV Appearances Seek to Keep Industry’s Momentum Going

Go RVing continues its media blitz with a recent TV appearance and new radio spots designed to generate consumer interest in the RV lifestyle.

This week, Go RVing Vice President of Brand Marketing & Communications Karen Redfern appeared on Cheddar TV to discuss how “the great American road trip is back.” The segment noted July 2020 wholesale shipment numbers showed a 53.5 percent year-over-year increase, spurring in part by families who are using their RVs as home base for work and school.

Building on the success of the early spring/summer launch of the “Go on a Real Vacation” radio spot, which garnered more than 260 million impressions, Go RVing this week released two new radio pieces as part of the “Wave 2” media plan.

The two spots, called “Dinner” and “Wake Up Call,” compare experiences of travelers on ordinary vacations to “Real Vacations” in RVs. Comparing noisy customers and two-hour wait times or alarm clocks and loud wake-up calls versus the sounds of nature, the ads seek to bring to life the superior experience travelers have while vacationing in an RV.

Meanwhile, the RV Technical Institute has been busy recruiting students to become the RV technicians who will service the coaches of the hundreds of thousands of new consumers joining the lifestyle. Executive Director Curt Hemmeler and other RVTI staff appeared this week in a WNIT TV segment promoting the institute.
