According to numbers released in February by Statistical Surveys, Inc. (SSI), Newmar’s Dutch Star had the most Type A diesel motorhome retail registrations in the U.S. for the 2021 calendar year.
The Dutch Star is Newmar’s best-selling brand and accounted for 9.65% of the Type A diesel motorhome retail sales in the U.S. during 2021, according to SSI.
John Sammut, Newmar vice president of sales and marketing, said the company’s nearly 1,300-strong workforce is proud to have the company’s best-selling brand top its market segment.
“This achievement validates all the diligent market driven product planning and development work executed by our engineering, operations, sales and marketing teams,” Sammut said.
The Dutch Star comes in 11 floorplans, with options of Freightliner or Spartan chassis, four external color schemes, four internal décor schemes, and a host of other features.
Newmar also reported growth in the retail volume of its Ventana, Kountry Star, London Aire and Canyon Star product lines, all of which ranked in the top 25 Type A diesel brands.
