NTP-Stag Canada is supporting continuing education in the Canadian RV industry through the RVDA of Canada.
The association can offer two bursary programs in 2021-2022 to RV Service Technicians and RV Fixed Operations Personnel with NTP-Stag’s support. A total of $12,500 will be awarded to eligible technicians and fixed operations personnel such as service writers, service advisors, warranty administrators and parts sales employees through the bursary programs.
RV Service Technicians and Fixed Operations Personnel that have successfully completed training (and achieved a 70% or higher final grade) between Aug. 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022 are eligible to apply for the bursaries.
For the RV service technician, seven bursaries valued at $1,000 and one bursary valued at $1,500 are available. For the RV fixed operations personnel, eight bursaries valued at $500 are available.
The application window closes on June 1, 2022. Complete applications include the form, employer reference letter or video critique, a video or a photo compilation or an essay, and a copy of the completed course transcripts during the training window.
Bursaries are awarded to the RV dealership personnel with a serious interest and desire to succeed in the industry as demonstrated by successful program completion.
Eligible programs are different for each track. Service technicians can go to Okanagan College, SAIT, Florida RV Distance Learning Network, Apprenticeship Quebec, RV Technical Institute and Ontario RVDA. Fixed Operations personnel can attend programs in the RV industry provided by Spader Business Management, A World of Training, Florida RV Distance Learning Network and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center; and the personnel can also attend parts technician apprenticeships and certificate programs offered by a range of Canadian higher learning institutes.
