A new off-road travel trailer will make its entrance into the RV industry at the Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona, May 17-19.

Mammoth Overland will introduce the Tall Boy travel trailer. True to its name, the trailer is 9 feet tall and has a 22-inch ground clearance. The trailer is 16.5 feet long from tip to tail and weighs 2,900 pounds dry.

Mammoth is a subsidiary of Vashion Aircraft, an aircraft manufacturer. The  company constructed the Tall Boy with aircraft-grade aluminum. The travel trailer has an aviation-style, two-piece door.

The Tall Boy has dual independent axles with 17-inch wheels and 33-inch tires.A picture of the Tall Boy overlanding travel trailer bunk beds.

Mammoth Overland President Scott Taylor said the Tall Boy was made for families to explore the outdoors together.

The bathroom includes a shower, sink and cassette toilet. The Tall Boy has an instant hot water system that operates off a 50-gallon freshwater tank. RVers will stay warm with a propane-fueled Dickinson Marine fireplace. The Tall Boy has two reversible fans on its roof.

The outside kitchen has a sink, stove and a 10.5-gallon fridge. Consumers can access food storage from inside or outside the Tall Boy with a passthrough pantry.

A 270-degree 23 Zero awning extends outside the vehicle. Two Renogy 100-watt portable solar panels are included. The solar panels can charge the Renogy 400-amp-per-hour lithium batteries with self-heating technology.A picture of the Tall Boy pantry.
