Ali Rasmussen of Spacious Skies Campgrounds joined the Outdoor Hospitality Industry (OHI)’s board of directors.
Rasmussen and her husband started Spacious Skies after their first camping travels in 2020. Rasmussen is now the CEO and director of the company, which has 15 campgrounds in the eastern U.S. She has a background in real estate development, marketing and strategy.
OHI President and CEO Paul Bambei said, “Her remarkable dedication to innovation and fostering inclusivity within the outdoor hospitality industry resonates with OHI’s core values.”
Rasmussen received the OHI Chairperson’s Award in 2023 and spoke on the opening general session panel at the 2023 Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo.
Rasmussen said she is passionate about creating inclusive spaces and focusing on diversity, equity and thoughtful inclusion initiatives.
“We all have the capacity to contribute to the whole,” she said, “and if we do not start to do it now, time will lapse, and there will be lost progress.”
