The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable’s Together Outdoors initiative distributed $70,000. Eight organizations received Together Outdoors’ Inclusive Micro-Grant Program grants. The grants support small and rural grassroots organizations.
Together Outdoors reviewed almost 300 applications in its second program round. The selected organizations further opportunities for outdoor recreation activities.
The grants will fund research and resources to facilitate outdoor inclusion. The grants will also fund outdoor recreation programming, events and leadership initiatives for minority groups.
Together Coalition Lead and ORR Outdoors Senior Program Director Ambreen Tariq said, “This initiative is more than just a grant program; it is an investment in America’s grassroots entrepreneurs and a testament to our belief that the outdoors should be a welcoming space for all.”
Grant recipients include:
- Access on the Go, Davis, West Virginia
- Angoon Alaska Youth Stewards, Admiralty Island National Monument, Alaska
- Farmington Area Single Track, Farmington, New Mexico
- Huellas Latinas, Paul, Minnesota
- Light of Loving Kindness, Chicago
