Palomino RV, a division of Forest River RV, Inc., is incorporating the Garmin One (Operation, Navigation, Entertainment) solution into the company’s Palomino RV’s travel trailer Pause line.
Garmin One provides each 26-foot trailer with systems control including lighting, temperature, power, navigation and an entertainment system.
“The Garmin One system serves as the command center of the camper and provides a superior experience for anybody wanting to take a vacation in the great outdoors,” said David Dunn, Garmin marine and RV sales senior director. “We are very proud of this solution, which combines state-of-the-art technology from Garmin. It is a great example of how we are committed to providing cutting edge RV products and support.”
The Palomino Pause travel trailer features a 20-foot, 8-inch body with a heavy-duty Huck-Rivet aluminum frame and independent air ride suspension.
Integrated RV operations
The Garmin One system features an 8-inch display and access to all onboard systems. The display provides touchscreen control and monitoring from the Vieo RV infotainment system. Systems, including the trailer’s lighting, awnings, climate control, water tanks and batteries are controlled by an EmpirBus digital switching system.
Consumers can download the Garmin RV Controls app to control systems from their compatible smartphone or tablet.
Garmin navigation
According to Garmin, The Vieo system takes a trailer’s size and weight into account to find a suggested travel route. When pairing the Vieo system with the Garmin Drive app, consumers can access real-time traffic updates and weather information. The system includes voice command technology, and a topographic map SD card is included to help consumers navigate offroad journeys, Garmin said.
Entertainment
The Vieo infotainment system also provides Wi-Fi audio. Consumers can download the Fusion-Link app to use a compatible smartphone as a wireless remote.
