Biography
After graduating in electrical engineering from Oregon State University, and getting an MBA in marketing at the University of California-Davis, Brian Bishop started in the RV industry.
He served as Bishop Embedded Engineering’s president for a year, starting in 1998. He followed that with 8 years at Cipher Systems, Inc., both as director of engineering, then company president. Bishop would later come back to the company’s engineering division as a partner.
After holding director positions at Quality Production, SilencerCo, and Skyward IO, Bishop arrived at Gold Heat in 2018. Bishop said a lot of products he has designed have ended up in RVs.
Bishop originally was one of the people to lead a fundraising round on Gold Heat when the company was just starting off. Founder Ken Millard called him to come on as a general manager in 2018. Bishop become Aries Engineering CEO in October 2020.
Bishop said he is “most proud of the fact that, in 2020, we did not miss a single shipment to our customers.” Considering it was a hectic year during a global pandemic, Aries Engineering kept everyone at the company on payroll throughout 2020. “We kept the band together,” Bishop said.
