Biography
In 2016, Eva Mitic was Carmanah’s marketing communications specialist. Though Mitic technically worked for the traffic applications business, which bought mobile solar solutions company Go Power in 2005, she said her position was similar to that at an agency. Mitic was in charge of handling Carmanah’s various subsidiaries, including Go Power.
When Valterra bought Go Power in 2017, Mitic became the wholly owned subsidiary’s marketing manager. Since, she has spearheaded the educational campaign that she said propelled Go Power to the forefront of the RV aftermarket. Valterra/Go Power recently were bought by Dometic.
“When I started, there was a lot of mysticism around the power source,” Mitic said on solar energy. “I think I am most proud of being able to consolidate and simplify, but still convey, the core ideas of solar to as many people as I have. It’s not a simple thing to break down something this technical.”
Graduating in journalism from Hamilton, Ontario’s Mohawk College in 2009, Mitic held positions like copywriter and marketing coordinator for various companies, including a film festival and plumbing and heating supplier.
