Biography
Jeff Wisniewski, Owner and President of MTI Industries, Inc., started handling warranties at the company right out of college in 1992, six credits short of graduating from Southern Illinois University.
“My girlfriend graduated, so I chased her around and she has been my wife ever since,” Jeff said of Kelly Wisniewski, vice president of administration at MTI.
Over the years, Jeff climbed the ladder at MTI, working as production manager, general manager, vice president and finally, president in 2009 when his father Tom Wisniewski retired. Jeff Wisniewski’s proudest achievement is MTI’s patent for its dual carbon monoxide and propane detector. The company applied for the patent in 2004 and it was granted three years later.
Jeff Wisniewski said, “That is a close tie to making the first carbon monoxide detector ever listed to UL Standards in 1993: UL2034.”
