Biography
Ten years after graduating from Missouri State University in 1988 with a B.S. in marketing and graphic design, Michael Meuser bought Pogue Products, Inc., a six-employee company that screen printed plastic bottles. Meuser renamed the St. Louis, Missouri-based company Pogue Label & Screen, more than quadrupled its size and moved facilities. He shifted focus into pressure-sensitive labeling and created four labeling lines, including one dedicated just to small, difficult-to-apply containers.
Sourcing labels from multiple printers allowed Pogue’s customers to receive volume discounts and printing efficiencies. But after the 2008 economic recession, Meuser wanted company security, along with vertical integration to reduce customers’ freight costs.
In 2010, Meuser partnered with Clay Gregorc, ProPack Packaging, Inc.’s founder. Meuser and his Pogue Label & Screen team decorated bottles while ProPack Packaging filled and sold them.
Meuser bought out Gregorc in 2018 and today serves as ProPack Packaging’s sole owner and president.
