Nautic Partners sold portfolio company Spartech to The Jordan Company, L.P. (“TJC”). Nautic Partners will remain a minority shareholder.

Spartech is a manufacturer of engineered thermoplastics and custom packaging solutions that serves the RV industry, among many others.

As part of the transaction, Andy Brewer will become executive chairman. The investment will provide Spartech with new opportunities for growth, the companies stated, and enhance its abilities to develop and deliver plastics solutions to its valued customers.

“We are excited to work with The Jordan Company team as we continue to expand Spartech’s technology, design, product development, and service offerings to deliver exemplary value for our customers,” Spartech CEO John Inks said.

Spartech is headquartered in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The company’s products are used in a variety of applications and end markets including healthcare, aerospace & defense, industrial, automotive, consumer goods and packaging.

The company serves more than 1,000 North American customers through a network including 14 manufacturing plants and an innovation center.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Spartech management team as the company builds on its recent success and enters its next phase of growth,” said Dan Williams, partner at TJC. “We will continue to invest heavily in the business to support organic growth and strategic acquisitions.”

Nautic Managing Director Chris Pierce said Spartech’s management team is among the best with which he has worked.

“It is very impressive what they have accomplished to transform the business in a short period of time,” Pierce said.
