Victron Energy, a power products supplier, updated its technology to support Mopeka Pro Check Water and Pro Check Propane/LPG sensors.

Victron’s Venus OS version 2.90 will enable Cerbo GX and other Victron GX model consumers to wirelessly integrate with the MopekaIOT mobile and cloud sensors. The sensors monitor water and propane usage using Mopeka GX devices or remotely using any internet connected device via Mopeka’s VRM Portal.

“The Mopeka Pro Check family of sonar sensors use BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), a wireless technology that allows devices to be networked within a range of about 10 meters, while consuming significantly less power compared to ordinary Bluetooth technology,” Victron Energy said. “The sensors feature ultrasonic sensing for water and LPG tanks in horizontal or vertical cylinders and mount to the bottom of those tanks by magnets. The liquid level, temperature and sensor battery voltage are streamed wirelessly to the GX device.”

Sonar Tank Monitoring has been adopted because it provides increased accuracy, ease of installation and communication, Victron Energy said.

“Our clients expect the ability to connect to their sensors from anywhere to everywhere,” Mopeka Chief Operating Officer Kevin Jaffe said. “It is crucial. They have data and telemetry needs that are only going to increase.”

Mopeka is proud to partner with Victron Energy the company looks forward to working with Victron’s customers, Jaffe said.

“At Victron Energy, we are always looking for the ‘next level’ of integration to connect with our market leading monitoring and telemetry technology,” said Matthijs Vader, managing director at Victron Energy. “Mopeka’s sonar tank monitoring meets our high standard of accuracy and reliability, and most importantly offers an extremely easy to install tank monitoring option. There is no need for wiring, making it perfect for DIY RV building as well as the upfitting of other projects.”
