Redarc released a new power solution this week. The BCDC Alpha includes start battery recovery, enhanced solar charging and Bluetooth abilities.
Redarc Global President Peter Favilla said, “The BCDC Alpha exemplifies Redarc’s commitment to innovation and adaptability in a rapidly evolving market.”
The direct current (DC) to DC battery charger is available in 25-amp and 50-amp models. The device’s start battery recovery feature enables consumers to restore a depleted battery in around 15 minutes, according to Redarc.
The charger’s optimized solar charging diverts excess power to the battery as necessary, so it remains fully charged.
According to Redarc, the BCDC Alpha is compatible with common automotive battery types. The solution connects to the RedVision app through Bluetooth. Consumers can monitor battery charger status, temperature and system performance through the app. The solution adapts to new features with over-the-air software updates.
Pushbutton controls and screw connections reduce wiring installation. Wiring kits and mounting brackets will be available for different vehicle types.
According to Redarc, “Combining robust durability, modern technology and user-friendly design, the BCDC Alpha offers a reliable and advanced solution for power management.”
