Off-grid RVers’ reward for trekking up mountains and through muddy trails comes in the solace of remote campsites. While consumers may crave off-griding solitude, many equip themselves with specific safety devices in the boondocks to ensure communication when necessary.

Midland’s new radio provides off-grid adventurers with two-way radio range communication. The MXR10 MicroMobile GMRS Repeater has an Ingress Protection (IP)67 rating, enabling waterproof and dustproof durability.

Midland Chief Marketing Officer Kevin Lane said, “Historically, the MXR10 Repeater has been a vital resource to those in the agriculture and outdoor industries, as well as those focused on emergency preparedness. This next iteration of the product focuses on greater reliability and durability, along with other advanced features to better serve our customers.”

The repeater’s 10-watt feature lengthens the radio range. The MXR10 includes 16 pre-configured channels for wideband and narrowband applications. The devices include a noise squelch level adjustment and a keypad lock function. The MXR10 is compatible with Midland repeater-capable mobile and portable devices.

The device is also available in a bundle featuring the repeater, a 10-decibel folding antenna, a 12-volt direct current power cord, a 50-foot cable, an alternating current adapter, an owner’s manual, a programming cable, a quick-start guide and an antenna mount.
