Camping World posted its highest second-quarter revenue in company history and second highest second-quarter earnings in financial information released Tuesday.
The company sold 38,959 new and used vehicles in the second quarter, helping revenue reach $2.2 billion, up 5.2% from the second quarter of 2022.
Adjusted earnings were down 16.7% from the record-high level posted in the second quarter of 2021 but totaled $277.7 million for the second-highest level.
“We are pleased with the sale of almost 39,000 new and used RVs which contributed to record revenues for the second quarter,” Camping World Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis said. “We believe our team has both the focus and experience to navigate our business through changes in market conditions as evidenced by our solid financial results.”
Vehicle inventories rose 85% from the second quarter of 2021 to $1.7 billion. The company said the increase was driven primarily by new vehicle supply chain constraints being eased in core categories. Camping World said to a lesser extent, the increase was driven by its used vehicle business growth and three new locations.
