Registration is open for MBA Insurance’s 2020 RV Rental School. The event will take place Feb. 25 to 27 at the Tuscany Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Sponsored by MBA Insurance, the three-day seminar is designed to fast-track people interested in opening an RV rental business, or to strengthen existing rental firms.
Several exhibitors will showcase products to help manage and promote a profitable rental operation. Manufacturers will also exhibit motorhomes and travel trailers ideally suited for rental units.
“We’ve been conducting the rental school for 20 years and really have it buttoned down to deliver essential information quickly,” MBA President Bert Alanko says. “Yet we also plan time in each day’s schedule for participants to network and ask questions.”
Sessions are led by three experienced RV rental operators, plus a lawyer specializing in vehicle rentals and franchise law. The speakers include:
- Scott Krenek, president of Krenek RV Center in Kalamazoo, Mich., and current chairman of the RV Rental Association.
- Martin Onken, president of Expedition Motorhomes in Calabasas, Calif.
- Barry Raye, owner of 84 RV Rentals and Service and Rayewood RV Center in Sussex, N.J.
- Leslie Pujo with Plave Koch Law Firm in Reston, Va.
The cost to attend the training is $795 for the first person registered from an organization, and $695 for each additional person from that company. The fee does not include airfare, hotel or ground transportation. Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day. A welcome reception will be held on the first night.
Discount hotel reservations at $69 per night can be made by calling Tuscany Suites & Casino at (877) 887-2260 and using the group code 0220MBAI.
“This conference has sold out every year for the past seven years,” Alanko says.
Alanko urges people to register as soon as possible as attendance is limited to 75 people.
This year’s rental school is sponsored by A13rt GPS, American Modern, Auto Club of America, Coachmen, Equalizer Hitch, Forest River and Thor Motor Coach.
