Report Finds RV Rental Rates Consistent with 2023 Levels

According to Go RV Rentals’ 2024 RV Rental Price Index, the average base price to rent an RV remains unchanged compared with one year ago.

The RV rental website company found the average U.S. RV rental price is $183 per day, as of March. Canada’s average is $192 per day.

Go RV Rentals CEO David Kosofsky said, “We are pleased to see U.S. daily rates coming in flat year-over-year, this making two years in a row of steady prices.”

The data was collected from 20 U.S. and four Canadian metropolitan markets. In the U.S., the report found that RV rental prices ranged from $89 per day for a pop-up camper to $115 per day for mid-priced travel trailers. Type A motorhomes averaged $306 per day while Type B motorhome rental rates averaged $232 per day. The Type C motorhome rental average was $212 per day.

For the first time ,the report included Canadian RV rental rates. Kosofsky said Canada represents a growing Go RV Rentals market.

The range in Canada was between $92 per day for a pop-up camper and $134 per day for a mid-priced travel trailer. The Type A motorhome’s average rental rate per day was $308 and the Type C motorhomes were $241.

The U.S. market average rental prices for all RV categories combined were:

  • Atlanta: $192
  • Austin, Texas: $197
  • Charlotte, North Carolina: $200
  • Chicago: $195
  • Dallas: $193
  • Denver: $189
  • Detroit: $194
  • Houston: $200
  • Los Angeles: $173
  • Miami: $176
  • Minneapolis: $181
  • Orlando, Florida: $170
  • Philadelphia: $181
  • Phoenix: $155
  • Portland, Oregon: $174
  • Salt Lake City: $174
  • San Diego: $162
  • San Francisco: $192
  • Seattle: $188
  • Tampa, Florida: $172

The Canadian market RV rental averages were:

  • Calgary: $199
  • Montreal: $177
  • Toronto: $207
  • Vancouver: $187
