Rev Group reviewed social, governance and environmental progress in its fifth annual 2023 Sustainability Report. The report analyzed the fiscal 2023 year, ending Oct. 31, 2023.
The report meets the Global Reporting Initiative standards, a framework to enhance reporting transparency and accountability.
Rev Group President and CEO Mark Skonieczny said, “During each step of Rev’s ESG (environment, social and governance) journey, we evaluate how we are realizing our company vision to improve the quality of life for our customers and communities.”
The report’s social section detailed its employee analysis. The manufacturer said it diversified its workforce at all company levels. Rev Group said the report reflected its commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
The My Rev Hub was introduced to employees this year. The platform is a suite of human resources (HR) access options to increase employee HR support.
Rev Group required board members to complete a minimum of four hours of continued education. During the fiscal year, Rev Group appointed Maureen O’Connell to the board of directors. O’Connell is certified by the National Association of Corporate Directors and brought expansive financial and executive experience to the role.
The report highlighted environmental projects in which the company took part. The projects increased operational efficiency and yielded energy, emissions and waste reductions.
The report detailed water use waste management, energy usage and air metrics. It additionally detailed:
- Product and safety innovations launched
- Workplace health and safety
- Employee health and wellbeing
- Community involvement
- Training and education
- Diversity, equity and inclusion
- Government and ethics
- Supply chain management
- Information security
“Whether it is improving the environmental impact of our vehicles by designing an all-electric fire truck or reducing the emissions at our facilities,” Skonieczny said, “we continue to focus on sustainability across all our businesses and work to create long-term shareholder value.”
