Reyco Granning is taking several steps to be a more sustainable company.
Reyco Granning, a suspension system manufacturer, first began sustainability efforts in 2020 by replacing all indoor light fixtures with LED bulbs.
Company President John Stuart said the plans are supported and sought-out by his leadership team.
“These small measures reduce our carbon footprint, preserve nature and keep our employees more comfortable,” Stuart said.
The measure alone reduced the company’s electricity usage by 30% — 693,000 kilowatt hours annually. Measures continued this year with the installation of air compressors and dryers, which reduced overall energy consumption by an additional 2.5%. Most recently Reyco Granning added new aluminum recycling bins, installed programmable thermostats and eliminated rodent traps.
The company has committed to planting trees on its unused acreage in the spring of 2022.
