Richardson’s RV Center, a dealer primarily of Type C motorhomes, has been acquired by Camping World Holdings, Inc. The agreement encompasses Richardson’s eight locations in California and Indiana including five current locations, one future location and two parts and service centers.
The acquisition is the largest in Camping World’s History.
“The Richardson’s top-notch management, along with their solid team members, is the primary reason we sought this deal,” said Marcus Lemonis, Camping World Holdings chairman and CEO. “We know the Richardson’s RV Centers add immediate value for our customers, as an iconic family brand that has been providing exceptional service to RVers for over 30 years.”
As reported in the February 2022 edition of RV News, Richardson’s RV just opened its seventh location in Beaumont, California in April of this year.
The California locations will transition to the Camping World brand and bring the company’s current count to 12 RV dealerships and five parts and service centers in the state, with a future RV dealership coming soon.
The Indiana location will convert to the RVs.com brand and provide a digital and factory direct experience for customers nationwide. The supercenters will offer new and used RVs in addition to assorted RV and outdoor products and accessories and the entire Good Sam products and services portfolio.
