ProSpec Electronics, an OEM and aftermarket audio solutions supplier, has been acquired by electronics distributor RiverPark Inc.
ProSpec is now RiverPark Marine dba ProSpec Electronics. The company’s operations and personnel remain in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Its efforts will be supported by the sales, distribution and product development team from RiverPark’s Elkhart, Ind. headquarters.
“We are excited to formally solidify our relationship with RiverPark,” ProSpec President David Sykes said. “Our companies share similar cultures and values, and I’m confident that this move will benefit our customers tremendously.”
ProSpec and RiverPark have shared a business relationship for 10 years. The acquisition offers both companies opportunities in new segments, strengthens their positions in their respective markets and expands their sales and distribution footprint, RiverPark said.
“RiverPark and ProSpec each have excellent customer service reputations in their OEM markets,” said Steve Bollero, RiverPark president. “Our complementary business strengths will offer an expanded opportunity for sales and distribution of Infinity, JBL and Harman Kardon marine electronics to boat manufacturers nationally.”
