Roadtrek is bringing back an iconic German camper van brand to North America.
Westfalia, a popular European brand in the 1960s and 1970s, will return this year, Roadtrek said. The Canadian manufacturer said it worked diligently to relaunch the brand at select RV dealers in North America.
A pre-production model will be shown at Elkhart Extravaganza this month.
Len McDougall, Head of Sales for Westfalia North America, said: “We are excited to share our team’s hard work in development and engineering to bring this iconic brand back to North America. This is one debut that you do not want to miss.”
Westfalia’s innovation and quality will be maintained, Roadtrek said, as the new vans are built in Ontario, Canada. Westfalia North America said it will establish an exclusive dealer network comprised of dealers who uphold the highest standards of Type B motorhome sales and customer service.
“The display model will feature sleeping availability in the front, rear and upper pop-top area of the van,” McDougall said. “You will have to stop by the display to really take in all the details.”
As part of the brand representation, Westfalia North America will offer a specially curated sales and customer experience display for dealers. The display will highlight Westfalia’s unique features, including the patented easy foldout combination front bench seat/bed, the company said.
