The Route 66 RV Network held its annual rally from Oct. 9-11 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The rally is the 20th annual event since the network’s founding.
The event highlighted the network’s united independent RV dealers, Partner Rob Merrill said.
“Our story needs to be told,” Merrill said, “local owners who have a higher level of commitment to their customers.”
Route 66 presented its Larry Coker Commitment Award to Bent’s RV owner Brian Bent for his continued all-in commitment to the network. The network’s Dave Francis Trusted Partner Award went to Joe LaPelusa for consumer products, MaxxGard, RoadSentry and ExpertGap.
The rally opened with golf and an evening welcome reception. Route 66 said meetings the next day highlighted notable network strengths: dealers with a commitment to integrity, customer service and after-sale support, the network’s superior partnerships, consumer-driven programs, innovative technology assets and a strong history.
U.S. Army Gen. Paul E. Funk II was the featured speaker, discussing the effectiveness of bringing together independent forces and working as one to achieve a common goal. Members had the opportunity to attend various educational sessions and the Partner Expo.
