Route 66 RV Network held its annual rally Oct. 20 as a virtual conference, offering exclusive online learning sessions to network members.
Topics available to members within the sessions included service, sales, parts, digital marketing and F&I departments.
Rob Merrill, Route 66 RV Network partner, opened day one with network updates and a preview of the three-day conference. Included in those updates was the announcement of a new alliance formed with RV Care Network of Canada.
Merrill also announced the retirement of founding network partner Dave Francis. With experience as a marketing executive in his previous career, Francis spent 18 years and became an integral part of the success of the Route 66 RV Network, Merrill stated.
“I’ve often compared our rally to a family reunion because of its role in connecting and deepening personal relationships over the years,” Francis stated. “It’s been a joy and a privilege to work with Steve, Rob and our amazingly talented Route 66 team to put legs to the network’s vision, while doing life together day in and day out.”
“I’ve also been honored to work with our industry’s top RV dealers, supplier partners and campground operators to unify our efforts and create a reliable continental network designed to best serve the needs of the traveling RV’er. While the network is solidly built on relationships … I have most certainly been blessed with many,” Francis stated.
Keynote speaker Devin Henderson featured magic tricks along with a memorable message in his session “The Devin Henderson Experience: Something Greater is Always Possible.”
The day finished with Network Brand Manager Lorne Armer updating dealerships on changes made to the Route 66 RV Care memberships and clubs. Armer discussed pricing updates, a new branded look to membership collateral and improved communication with the goal of acquiring new members, keeping them active and continuing to grow membership levels.
More information will be released in the next few months, Route 66 stated.
