RV auction values rose once again in July, according to Black Book’s RV Market Commentary for September. The values increased compared with June totals.
Black Book Specialty Vehicles Principal Automotive Analyst Eric Lawrence said, “Once again, the increase in motorhomes was driven by an unusually high percentage of expensive Class As crossing the block. The towable increase is likely due to their average age decreasing slightly.”
The July motorhome average sales price was $70,356, a $1,600 increase from June. One year ago, the average motorhome sales price was $65,316. Motorhome auction values were down 10.2% compared with June. The average model year sold was 2016.
The towable average sales price was $19,311, a $254 increase compared with June. The total decreased from the average sales price of $21,750 last year. Auction volume was down 10.1% compared with June. The average model year sold was 2019.
Lawrence said as 2025 models arrive on dealer lots, he expects values to trend downward into the fall.
