RV Care, Canada’s Largest RV Dealer Network, recently tapped Don Main as the newest RV Care Board Chairman.

Main will step in as only the third Chair of the Board in the company’s 20-year history. The RV Care Board of Directors unanimously approved his selection this past month.

Main has been the president of Pik-A-Dilly RV Centre in Brandon Manitoba since 1978 and has served the Canadian RV industry in many capacities over the last 40+ years. He was chairman for RVDA of Manitoba and RVDA of Canada, and he sat on the board of directors of the RVDA of America for four years.

Derek Patterson, vice president of sales and marketing, said Main is a founding member of RV Care who’s been on the board for more than a dozen years. In his new role as RV Care Board Chairman, Main will guide the board in its responsibility to its 73 dealer partners and their RV owners on the road, Patterson said.

“I’ve known Don for my eight years I’ve been with RV Care, and he’s got a ton of experience,” Patterson said. “He was the chairman of AAA for three years, and I think he’s the only Canadian ever appointed to that.”

As a founding member of the RV Care Network, Main played an integral role in the company’s vision and evolution. RV Care announced those efforts will continue for another three years as Main undertakes his new role.

Among the elected directors of RV Care Network, when one’s term ends, another begins. The RV Care board saw Don Sneyd’s three-year term as Chairman end on June 18, 2020. Sneyd was equally a founding member of RV Care and sat on the Board of Directors for 17 years prior to serving as Chairman.

“In Sneyd’s 50 years of serving the RV industry, he has left an indelible mark and has accomplished more than most,” RV Care announced. “(His) passion and commitment to RV Care’s success was undeniable. His presence and leadership will be missed.”

Sneyd will now focus on enjoying his retirement with his family. Jeff Redmond, from Bucars RV Centre, was re-nominated and approved to a second three-year term as Treasurer and Secretary, and rounding-out the six-Director Board is newly nominated and approved Chris Milosek from Primo Trailer Sales in Ottawa, Ontario.

The RV Care Network has been a part of the Canadian RV landscape since 1999. It offers a network of dealer service stations, campsites and other amenities like roadside assistance to its member dealerships. RVers gain access to the RV Care Network automatically when they purchase an RV from a member dealership. With more than 70 dealer locations in Canada, 35 of RV Care dealers are Authorized Northern Spirit dealers.
