RVIA and RVDA informed members Tuesday about charitable donation options available for people interested in supporting Giving Tuesday benefits.
The Kevin Phillips Scholarship, named after longtime RV industry executive Kevin Phillips, covers the cost of an individual subscription for RV technician training at the RV Technical Institute (RVTI). RVIA said the scholarship alleviates the financial burden for those interested in an RV tech career, including new high school graduates, military veterans, and those who have chosen a different path than traditional college education.
To support the RV industry with a tax-deductible donation to 501(c)3 RVTI, use RVTI’s pledge form, call 800-664-0154 or email [email protected]. Donations are accepted via checks or credit cards.
The Mike Molino RV Learning Center recently established a Legacy Fund to honor the late Dan Pearson, who owned PleasureLand RV Centers. The fund honors Pearson’s memory and longtime industry service.
PleasureLand RV Centers has pledged a $25,000 matching gift, which will provide a dollar-for-dollar match for each donation received to the Pearson Legacy Fund until the $25,000 amount is reached.
In 2023, RV Learning Center fixed operations online course enrollments grew 200% from 2022 to more than 400 participants.
Anna Freeman of Greeneway RV said, “Being a part of the RV Learning Center has changed my life. Keep learning, support the RV Learning Center and take the next step in your career.”
