Software and media company RV Life more than doubled membership growth its founder predicted in 2020.
The company announced it surpassed 1.5 million members. Founder and CEO Andy Robinowitz predicted a slower climb when announcing the 1-million-member milestone in May 2020.
“The team at RV Life is very excited to see this kind of expansion and to be a part of the #RVLIFE movement,” Robinowitz said. “More and more people are getting into the RV lifestyle and rediscovering the great outdoors, and we love being part of their experience.”
RV Life’s network includes the RV Trip Wizard trip planner, an RV Safe GPS, and Maintain My RV. The company’s portfolio includes more than 30 RV-specific websites and forums, including iRV2.com and CampgroundReviews.com.
“In 2020, our CampgroundReviews.com site saw an explosion of activity as RVers looked for information about which RV parks were open due to the pandemic,” Robinowitz said. “This year, we are seeing even more site traffic and engagement. Contributions from the RV community—photos, reviews, tips, and speed tests—are up 1,350%. That is an amazing number.”
Robinowitz said the burgeoning engagement is a win-win for everyone involved.
“We estimate that RVers who do their research on RV Life create approximately 10 million reservations per year using our tools,” Robinowitz said, “leading to around $1.6 billion in bookings for RV parks and campgrounds.”
RV Life is poised to hit 2 million members by 2022, the company said.
