RV News Tops National B2B Category for Third Straight Year

For the third consecutive year, RV News Magazine, a DRN Media Inc. publication, has been honored as one of the nation’s top business-to-business magazines in the United States by Folio.

RV News has recently won the Eddie award in the “full issue magazine business-to-business (B2B) News/General Interest” category. The magazine was recognized for the editorial writing/storytelling that was published in RV News’ September 2023 Elkhart Extravaganza Preview issue.

Folio received over 1,000 entries across nearly 80 categories in the esteemed awards program, honoring outstanding achievements in editorial content (Eddie Award) and design (Ozzie Award) within the publishing industry. The award finalists scored the highest in their respective categories, as judged by experienced editorial and design professionals in the publishing industry. From the finalists, award winners were then selected.

Becky Peck, Group Publisher, Folio, said, “While digital transformation continues to reshape how we interact with content, the desire for tactile print remains strong. In this competitive landscape, delivering exceptional content and design is key to cutting through the noise, whether your platform is print, digital, or a hybrid. It is inspiring to see these creative talents push boundaries, elevate their craft, and produce work that truly resonates with audiences, earning them this prestigious recognition.”

Last year, RV News was also chosen as the Eddie Award winner in the best full-issue B2B magazine in the News/General Interest category in the United States by Folio. The judges also selected RV News’ July 2022 “RV American Made-Ins” edition as a top winner in 2023. The specialty issue honored women working within the RV industry.

RV News won its first Eddie award in 2022 the Manufacturing/Supply Chain category, honoring editorial excellence for its July 2021 “American Made” edition.

The Eddie & Ozzie Awards were revealed live Oct. 22 in New York. Hosted by comedian and entertainer Rob Schiffmann, the event kicked off with a custom musical opening number to the tune of Hamilton.

During the ceremony, Folio also revealed the 2024 Special Recognition honorees in publishing. They included:

DRN Media CEO and Publisher of RV News magazine Dana Nelsen said, “Winning an award that is given by people who live and breathe magazines and are true experts in the field of publishing is a great honor. Winning it three times in a row means this isn’t mere luck or a mere day in the sun… RV News is creating some of the best editorial content for its niche audience in the country. I am very proud of the editorial team I get to work with and am so appreciative of our advertisers who empower us to provide true excellence to the industry.”

RV News joins the ranks of other renowned journalists, such as The Washington Post’s Annie Granatstein, who received Folio’s Top Women in Journalism award in 2019, and the New York Times, which won a Folio award in 2020.
