Inflation raised prices for eggs, gas and many other consumables in 2024. Inflation did not affect RV rental prices.

Go RV Rentals’ 2025 RV Rental Price Index Report found the average cost to rent an RV in the U.S. as of March 2025 was $184 a night. The total was nearly unchanged from the 2023 average of $183 a night.

Over the past five years, RV rental prices have remained relatively stable, rising 4% since 2020.

Go RV Rentals founder David Kosofsky said, “This year’s data confirms what we have seen over the past few years—RV rental prices have remained remarkably steady despite inflation and shifts in travel demand.”

In the U.S., the most expensive RV rental is a Type A motorhome, which averaged $313 a night in 2024. Type B motorhomes were next at $228 a night with Type C motorhomes renting for an average of $214 a night.

Among U.S. towables, toy haulers were the most expensive rentals at $143 a night. Traditional travel trailers averaged $113 a night, with pop-up campers averaging $90 a night.

The most expensive U.S. metro areas for RV rentals were Houston ($198 per night); Austin, Texas ($197); and San Francisco ($193).
