Spradling International, a vinyl-coated fabrics supplier, acquired interior materials supplier CMI Enterprises.
CMI Enterprises supplies seat coverings, fabric lines, window treatments and bedding for RV interiors.
Spradling said the acquisition will expand the company’s footprint into Elkhart, Indiana, and Forrest City, North Carolina, where CMI Enterprises has operations. CMI is based in Miami.
“The asset purchase of CMI fits perfectly into Spradling’s long-term strategic goal of further developing our capabilities and strengthening our product innovation in ways that will benefit customers,” Spradling President Chuck Streich said. “We have been friendly competitors for years, and now we look forward to working together as a team.”
Many CMI employees will join Spradling, the company said, bringing an average of more than 15 years of experience in the industry An additional experienced workforce will accelerate the combined company’s growth potential under a new business unit, Spradling Resources, focused on the commercial OEM sector, Spradling stated.
“This transaction presents increased opportunities for the business and its employees to leverage and enhance the company’s portfolio,” Spradling stated, “providing an unparalleled array of products, services, and solutions including lamination, die-cutting, and high-frequency welding.”
Spradling International was founded in 1964 and is based in Pelham, Alabama.
