The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) is seeking to fill director of education and administrative assistant positions.
The director of education will oversee the development and maintenance of the institute’s curriculum. The school stated the position is critical to the RVTI mission to provide training for RV maintenance and repair technicians, which will reduce the industry’s trained technician shortfall.
The role requires a RVTI Level 2 certification, although a Level 4 certification would be preferred, the institute stated.
Director of education responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Curriculum maintenance, including mapping certification content with curriculum content and providing assistance with certification testing content.
- Managing instructional staff schedules and projects, and acting as a part-time and fill-in instructor.
- Participating in standards technical subcommittees, the Standard Steering Committee Meeting and other technical and curriculum subcommittees.
- Managing the maintenance bay area and maintain teaching supply inventory.
In addition to the director of education position, RVTI is hiring an administrative assistant to provide support to RVTI’s executive director/senior VP of standards and VP of education and operations. The role requires a minimum of five years administrative experience supporting two or more executives, and at least a high school diploma.
Administrative assistant duties include, but are not limited to:
- Use Microsoft Office 365 and database software to prepare reports, memos and documents.
- Answer phones and route calls to the appropriate department or employee.
- Manage internal information record database according to established procedures.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for internal and external meetings.
- Prepare expense reports and check requests via a digital expense and check request system.
Both positions will be located at RVTI’s headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana.
