RVDA of Canada is offering several 2021 scholarship programs to RV service technicians and RV fixed operations personnel.
NTP-STAG Canada sponsored the programs, gifting a total of $12,500 to eligible service writers, service advisors and parts and accessories sales staff.
The money will provide financial aid to students balancing work and life commitments.
Seven RV service technicians will receive $1,000, and one will receive $1,500. Eight $500 scholarships are available for RV fixed operations personnel.
“The support and promotion of personal and professional development is a key component of the NTP-STAG Core Values,” said Rob Edwards, director of sales at NTP-STAG Canada. “Continuing education not only empowers the individual learner with more knowledge and competency, their dealership will also benefit tremendously through the enhanced procedural efficiencies learned and adopted.”
To be scholarship eligible, RV service technicians and fixed operations personnel in all Canadian provinces and territories must have successfully completed a RV apprenticeship, or related educational programs, between Aug. 1, 2020, and May 31, 2021.
The application is now open and closes June 1. It includes an application form, employer reference letter and a course transcript copy. Additionally, applicants are required to submit either a RV-repair video or photo compilation, or an essay describing the trade aspect they are most passionate about.
