After serving on the RVDA of Canada Board of Directors since 2010, the association named Jim Gorrie the 2024-2025 board chairman.
Gorrie’s influence has been present in the Canadian RV market since 1986, when GNR Camping World founder Gil Robert asked him to manage a 50 RV rental fleet. Gorrie and his brother-in-law (and Robert’s son) later bought the dealership. The pair operated GNR until it was sold in 2023.
After GNR’s sale, Gorrie and his wife, Louise, bought Classic Trailers in Headingley, Manitoba.
According to RVDA of Canada, “Throughout his extensive career, Jim has remained steadfast in his commitment to customer satisfaction, leading his teams by example to ensure every RV purchase and service meets the highest standards.”
Gorrie served as RVDA of Manitoba chairman and was named 2018 Canadian Dealer of the Year. He was Go RVing Canada chairman for seven years and has supported RVDA of Canada by engaging in industry-related discussions with Canadian Members of Parliament.
Gorrie invests in nonprofits in his community including the St. Amant Foundation, the Children’s Wish Foundation and Kiwanis.
Gorrie hosts a passion for playing hockey and has RVed with his wife at Lake of the Woods since 1989. They enjoy golfing, traveling and spending time with family.
