RVIA committees met virtually throughout last week at the association’s annual RVs Move America Week, spotlighting a new coalition and board sponsorship.
The association noted its Standards Steering Committee, Public Relations Committee, Public & Legislative Affairs Committee and the Go RVing Coalition met together. Discussions included standards enforcement dates, policy priorities, upcoming Go RVing campaigns and efforts to sustain continued positive press surrounding the industry.
The week was capped off with an RVIA Board of Directors meeting June 10.
During the meeting, the board unanimously voted to become a Silver Sponsor of the RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA). RVIA-provided funding will help to further the RVWA mission and support educational and professional development opportunities for alliance members.
In addition, the board approved establishing the Emerging Leaders Coalition. The group previously was a task force and now will be a standing coalition.
“The primary purpose of the RV Industry Emerging Leaders Coalition is to strengthen institutional industry collaboration, competency, engagement, inclusivity and innovation,” the association stated, “by identifying, recruiting, developing, engaging and retaining emerging industry leaders, and harnessing and elevating diverse emerging industry leader perspectives.”
