RVIA Calls for Industry Member Perspective

RVIA is collecting information on the Environmental Protection Agency’s rulemaking regarding per-and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) substances. The chemicals, also known as “forever chemicals,” are found in many RV items, including carpets/rugs, upholstery, fabric treatments, cleaning products and adhesives.

In the association’s webinar June 25, Adam Troutwine and Jake Levin from RVIA’s federal lobbying firm, Polsinelli, detailed chemical regulations. Federal reporting requirements will affect importers and suppliers. Certain states are passing legislation including various reporting requirements, and in some states PFAS bans.

RVIA is working to better understand the situation and best support its members. To do so, the association invites members to take a survey regarding their PFAS knowledge and how RVIA can best educate members.

For any PFAS-related questions, email RVIA Senior Manager of Government Affairs Sophie de la Torre at [email protected].
