RVIA Seeking Two Inspector I Team Members

RVIA is filling two Inspector I positions as part of the inspectors’ team.

Along with providing educational resources, the inspectors’ team conducts more than 2,000 unannounced member RV manufacturing plant inspections annually. Member manufacturer training is also within the role’s responsibilities, with the goal of supporting a commitment to the association’s adopted codes and standards.

The RVIA standards department maintains a full-time inspector team, the associated stated. The inspector team monitors compliance with RVIA RV construction codes, which are adopted by the Board of Directors.

“The RV Industry Association’s standards inspection program is one of the organization’s signature industry initiatives and its greatest member benefit,” RVIA stated.

Inspector I role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct unannounced in-plant inspections.
  • Conduct and meet with potential member applicants to provide initial inspection(s) and educate them on all the mandated compliance responsibilities.
  • Work to maintain a positive relationship between members and the association by taking on the role as an educator.
  • Provide technical input for NFPA 1192, ANSI LV, NEC, ANSI A119.5 code change proposals or respective handbook update proposals.
  • Perform special projects as requested by the chief inspector, such as technical research, photography, technical writing, developing PowerPoint presentations, etc.
