The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) has exceeded its 2022 goal to recruit over 1,000 students from outside the RV industry.
RV Technical Institute Executive Director of the Curt Hemmeler said the organization is looking forward to building on the institute’s “Year of Recruitment” success next year.
“We surpassed our goal by 10%,” Hemmeler said.
RVTI embarked on their recruitment mission this year to train more RV technicians and make them available to diagnose and repair RVs, the institute said. According to the institute, they fulfilled their mission using a consumer marketing campaign and partnerships with organizations outside the industry including high schools, trade schools, prisons, and government training programs.
Recruits are interested in quality pay and RV industry on-the-job training that is available without the burden of considerable debt, RVTI said. Next year, the institute will expand partnerships with RV dealerships. RVTI plans to have institute-trained students at 900 dealerships, up from 750. The team also plans to increase recruits to 1,200.
“Thank you to everyone who helped us reach this goal,” Hemmeler said. “This achievement took a large amount of teamwork and dedication, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish next year. We are eager to continue this work and we look forward to seeing the impact it has on the consumer’s ability to quickly get back on the road.”
