ComplyAuto released a free encryption messaging tool for RV dealers in endorsing states.

The tool, called ComplyCrypt, creates a secure and encrypted online portal where consumers input information. The dealership can control which employees can access the portal to download and process documents.

The portal will automatically delete the information when no longer needed.

ComplyAuto CEO Chris Cleveland said: “Addressing the age-old issue of unsecured data transmission in dealerships, we have developed an easy-to-use encrypted messaging tool. It is designed to overcome the cost, usability, and adoption challenges that exist with other tools, and is currently free for dealers in over 30 states.”

The company said ComplyCrypt will meet the Federal Trade Commission’s new Safeguards Rule standards requiring encryption of material in transit. The portal alerts an administrator if non-public information (NPI) is sent through insecure channels, ensuring state and federal compliance.

“ComplyCrypt stands alone as the only encrypted messaging tool that ensures its usage by staff,” Cleveland said. “Too many dealers waste resources on solutions that cannot guarantee actual use. With ComplyCrypt, you invest in certainty.”
