Sevna Composite Cabs, known for its cutaway cabs for EV stripped chassis, will showcase its latest cab at the Clean Technology Expo (ACT Expo).

The cab will be paired with a Harbinger medium-duty electric stripped chassis and E-Van composite body to be featured at Booth 4883 at the expo in Anaheim, California, today through Thursday.

Sevna said the vehicle on display at the ACT Expo will feature a prototype power articulating delivery door to enhance efficiency and improve driver experience.

Sevna’s electric cab, first unveiled last summer, serves fleet operators, upfitters and dealer distributors in the medium duty commercial vehicle market.

Sevna CEO Mike Schoeffler said the team is on the cusp of commercial production.

He said, “Our team has made amazing progress over the past year as we worked to make our vision for a composite EV cab with the flexibility and features designed for the modern trades.”

The cabs can be customized to individual needs, and every cab will include standard features. The cabs are designed to be integrated with chassis designed for medium duty Class 4-6 trucks, including RVs. They are manufactured with composite materials for lightweight, enhanced operating efficiency and ease of repair and maintenance. The cab’s interior is 6 feet, 3 inches tall with wide windows.

The integration with Harbinger’s EV chassis provides driving ranges up to 210 miles based on payload and achieves an 80% state of charge in one hour using level three charging. The cab features integrated driver controls and customized software.

Schoeffler said Sevna is in the process of internal and third-party certification processes for the cab. He said the cab will enter full production in July.

“We are convinced the Sevna Composite Cab will prove the flexibility the commercial vehicle market demands,” Schoeffler said, “allowing customers to integrate our cab with a variety of chassis sizes, making the ultimate customized vehicle.”
